No Time To Die uses the following elements of media language to create mise en scene. The characters are all portrayed to wear dark colours and the clothes are formal. This suggests class and sophistication as James Bond wears a suit and show it is the action genre. The costumes are different though in the women as Nomi wears a heavy military suit and Paloma wears a revealing feminine evening gown suggesting the variety of roles women have in the play.

Another indication of mise en scene is the use of props e.g - guns which is a motif of action and violence. Different types of guns are used with a smaller handgun for the women in the gown and a bigger more professional gun for Nomi This shows us the film is action.

Craigs Bond is not as sexist or overtly stereotypical - modern masculinity as his Bond is older, more thoughtful and shows signs of vulnerability.

'Bond girls' who are the beautiful love interest for Bond are often insignificant to the narrative and ultimately disposable ( Propps princess)

The representation of gender in the Bond franchise has evolved over time, to reflect the changing social context.

James Bond historical masculine stereotype - strength, skill and independence.

Nomi being the new 007 was reported prior to the films release. It led to a minority of racists trolling the actor Lashana Lynch online.

Only 3 guns and not threatening in the poster as the ASA state that violence shouldnt be glamourised.

Dr Madeline Swann is pictured twice on the poster.
